Untamed Skies Studios is a group of game development students working on the project Untamed Skies, a dragon riding adventure game. We are comprised of 5 students so far:

Team Bios: 

Ethan Day

• Role: Project Leader
• Responsibilities: Developed blueprints for player character controls and core gameplay mechanics, and designed tutorial levels to effectively guide and onboard new players.

Shujian Chen

• Role: Game Designer / Environmental Artist
• Responsibilities: Integrated greybox levels with narrative environments to enhance player flow and story pacing. Collaborated with programmers and animators to resolve issues in blueprint logic, controller behavior, and camera systems. Created and implemented cutscenes and interactive events to strengthen narrative delivery. Adjusted materials, collisions, and lighting to balance visual clarity with performance. Streamlined workflows across departments to support smooth collaboration and steady iteration, and 

Bo-Rui Huang

• Role: Game Designer
• Responsibilities: Implemented level design and narrative flow, designed UI wireframes, HUD elements, and 2D graphic assets. Managed version control, assessed and prioritized animation and audio asset requirements into MVP.

Matt Fitzgerald

• Role: Associate Producer
• Responsibilities: Tracking tasks, enforcing deadlines, managing offsite contractors, and project management

Chris Wai

• Role: 3D Artist
• Responsibilities: Created three-view concept sketches, built, textured, and tested dragon 3D models and FBX rigs in Maya, animated key actions per specifications, and collaborated with the game designers.

William Brooks-Potts, Nathan Sasing

• Role: Audio Producer
• Responsibilities: Delegated and reviewed audio assets—including Foley, UI, ambience, dialogue, and music—and coordinated with design and engineering teams to ensure seamless in-game audio integration.

Ethan, Borui, and Shujian are in the Game Level Design graduate program at Sheridan college, whereas Chris and Willam are undergrad students in separate programs contributing their work to the project.
